Bus Pass Boob Jobs followed the stories of a group of over-60s who wouldn't accept their wrinkly faces, bingo-wings and boobs that reached their droopy tummies.

This programme followed Tony on his journey as he had his cosmetic surgery treatments in the clinic - Beautiful Beings in Prague.

"Beautiful Beings in Prague sounded more personable. I liked the way they picked you up from the airport and escorted you to an apartment stocked with bread, milk and tea. The cost was just £2,500 including flights, accommodation and surgery, compared with the £4,500 I'd been quoted in Britain"

Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery - Cosmetic Surgery News

OUR MID-KNIFE CRISIS

Daily Mail July 26 2007

His daughters supported his decision. One even helped him find the clinic, Beautiful Beings in Prague.

'It would have cost twice as much if I'd have had the same surgery performed in the UK,' he explains.
'The clinic arranged everything for me, the flights, the accommodation, the surgery.

'I look great now and I have lovely Hollywood teeth. All my friends say: "you look so much younger!".

Tony Day before surgery

Cosmetic Surgery - Before Cosmetic Procedure

There is still perhaps inevitably a stigma attached to male surgery, a sense that it is slightly unmanly to be so obsessed with one's looks.

'Its gradually getting less unusual, ' says Tony Day, a 70-year old former singer who now works with a charity for Kurdish refugees.

The Grandfather from Leeds paid £6,000 to have upper and lower eyelid surgery, Botox injections to smooth the lines around his mouth and cosmetic dentistry. 'But even so, after I had surgery, I had people my own saying: "What on earth have you done that for? I would never have surgery, so undignified."

'But I don't care - I did it for me, to see the face in the mirror reflect the man that I feel inside. I don't see any reason why men shouldn't take advantage of all the advances in cosmetic surgery. Women now are walking about looking as if they're in their 30's when they're nearly 60 - why should't men?'

Tony, a divorced father-of-two, adds: 'I feel I'm about 25. I know there's no way I could look so young, but now a friend of mine says that I could easily be taken for a man of about 50.

'Perhaps it's because I have spent a lot of my life in showbusiness, but I am quit vain about my looks. I can't bear the thought of looking like an old man in a beige zip-up cardigan. One day last year I looked in the mirror and thought: "I do not look the way that I feel inside."

'My face had become quite lined and I looked tired. I immediately decided that I ought to have some surgery - there's so much publicity about it now.'

His daughters supported his decision. One even helped him find the clinic, Beautiful Beings in Prague.

'It would have cost twice as much if I'd have had the same surgery performed in the UK,' he explains. 'The clinic arranged everything for me, the flights, the accommodation, the surgery.
