Worldwide Tummy Tuck, Liposuction Plastic Surgery Up 10% Last Year

The number of cosmetic surgery procedures carried out worldwide last year was up 10.1% on the previous year.

Worldwide spending on liposuction, breast enlargement, tummy tuck and other cosmetic surgery procedures is reported to have exceeded £3 billion last year.  Plastic surgery could increase by 11.12 next year, if forecasts are accurate.

An increasing number of people are travelling to other countries in search of cheaper surgery.  80% of medical tourists from the UK are travelling for plastic surgery, with the remaining 20% made up largely of dental and weight loss surgery such as gastric band.
