Britains Fattest Woman Dies After Being Denied Gastric Band,

Sharon Mevsimler, Britains largest woman, died yesterday in hospital after years of overeating.

Sharon had been denied a gastric band operation, partly because she was too large to safely undergo surgery, and partly because doctors did not believe that she would follow the post-op diet necessary to avoid complications and achieve a good result.

Witnesses at Broomfield Hospital, where she had been a patient for two months, claim that the woman’s family smuggled food including fish & chips and fried chicken into the hospital for her.

Cutbacks mean it has become increasingly difficult to obtain bariatric and cosmetic surgery such as breast enlargement, liposuction and tummy tuck on the NHS.

A recent survey by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery has revealed the most popular surgeries for ethnic minorities.

Liposuction is the most popular procedure among black people, followed by breast reduction and forehead lift.  Black people make up 18.8% of plastic surgery clients who are not white.  Those of Hispanic origin, who make up 27.14% of minority clients, opt for tummy tuck procedures, as well as thigh lift and breast enlargement.  Asians, who make up the largest proportion of non-white plastic surgery clients at 31.4%,  are most likely to seek a face lift, followed by eyelid surgery and ear surgery.

The survey does not include figures for gastric band, as this is bariatric surgery rather than cosmetic.

Kim Kardashain is one of the world most photographed women, and a role model to many, but one woman wants to have cosmetic surgery in order to look like the star.

Earlier this year Jessica Alba persuaded Chinese student Xiaoqing not to have surgery such as liposuction and breast enlargement to look like her, after the girl announced her plans, intended to lure back her ex boyfriend.  The Kim wannabe states similar reasons for her plans “I’m getting head to toe plastic surgery next week to look like Kim Kardashian so my husband won’t leave me.  He worships Kim Kardashian.”

Kim replied to the woman on Twitter “NO.  Pls don’t, Ur husband should love u 4 who u are! Don’t try 2 b someone else. Im sure u are beautiful inside & out! Just as u are.” Later adding “Don’t change yourself for anybody but yourself…be happy with who u are! Someone will appreciate and adore u just as you are,”

Botox Pioneers Miss Out On Fortune, Gastric band, Breast Enlargement,

The doctor who discovered the wrinkle reducing properties of Botox has missed out on a fortune because he did not patent the treatment.

It was 1987 when Dr Jean Carruthers’ noticed that the injections she was using to stop eye spasms had the side effect of smoothing wrinkles.  It was then that her husband Dr Alastair Carruthers tried out the injection on their receptionist, “She had remarkable frown lines and said, “Oh sure, treat me.”  We had only to see her to say, “Oh, this does work.”  You could see a huge difference.”

The couple published their finding four years later.  Botox is now the world’s most popular cosmetic treatment, a kick started a craze for non invasive treatments as an alternative to full plastic surgery such as breast enlargement, liposuction, tummy tuck or gastric band.

Kelly Brook May Consider Liposuction & Tummy Tuck Plastic Surgery,

Model Kelly Brook, once voted the sexiest woman in the world, says that she may consider having cosmetic surgery in the future.

Kelly described how she worries about the effects of ageing, such as wrinkles and sagging, “Getting older you do worry about those things, but you’ve just got to embrace it. You’re not going to look 20 forever. You just have to try and keep fit and eat well and look after yourself,”  She then went on to say she would not rule out plastic surgery in the future, and while she certainly does not require a breast enlargement or gastric band she may want an uplift or face lift as she grows older.
