Cyndi Lauper’s recent appearance has led some in the media to speculate that she might have had plastic surgery.

The 54 year old ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ Singer’s smooth facial complexion in comparison to loose jowls and neck have been interpreted by some as a sign of facial surgery or non invasive treatment such as botox.

Cyndi’s fellow eighties star Madonna is thought to have had a large amount of surgery including breast enlargement, liposuction and face lift as well as various injectables.

Neither stars are thought to have had a tummy tuck or gastric band.

Actress Julie Newmar who played Catwoman in the 60 Batman TV series, now 76, has aged so well that some are suggesting she may have had cosmetic surgery.

Media reports suggest that the star, who now makes a living writing books, may have had one or more facelifts, liposuction, a possible brow lift as well as injectables such as botox and lipfiller.

Helen Mirren has claimed that if she was not an actress she would have plastic surgery, “I’d think about it even more if I was in a different profession,” she said. “If I wasn’t on camera I would have had it done years ago.“It’s the full-on for me. Suck it all up, tie it up and then cut it all off!”

The 64-year-old Queen star has previously said that she understands why others might want to undergo cosmetic surgery such as a face lift, liposuction, breast enlargement, tummy tuck, gastric band and does not judge people that do.

Helen may be worried about how any change in her appearance may affect her acting career.

New Zealand born actress Lucy Lawless is best known for her role as Xena Warrior Princess but she is soon to appear in a new series Spartacus Blood & Sand.

Of late, there has been speculation that Lawless may have had plastic surgery.  The height and firmness of her breasts when considering her age of 41 has led some to suggest that she may have had breast augmentation

The lack of any evidence of other cosmetic surgery such as a face lift, liposuction, lip or botox injections, tummy tuck or gastric band coupled with her healthy lifestyle may suggest that she looks good for her age due to no surgical means.

Actress Jane Fonda is looking more youthful recently, and it’s due to cosmetic surgery

The 72-year-old actress shot to fame in the 60s in films such as Barbarella and had previously undergone procedures to reduce the lines around her eyes as well as a breast augmentation.

The star has now revealed that she had surgery two weeks ago, including treatments to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on her face and neck as well as to remove bags around her eyes.  She did not say she had any other surgery such as liposuction, tummy tuck, or a gastric band.

Fonda admitted that her new haircut is intended to draw attention away from her cosmetic procedures, “I just had some work done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes so I decided it would be a good idea to get a new haircut so people will think it’s my new hair.”

A recent survey has revealed that plastic surgery is no longer a taboo and that people are happy to reveal they have had work.

The survey released by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery reveals that 71 per cent of respondents stated that they thought society has become more accepting of cosmetic surgery than five years ago.  The most accepted surgical treatments are breast enlargments at 42.4 per cent, face lifts at 32.2 per cent and tummy tucks at 32.1 per cent. 61.9 per cent supported laser hair removal and 61.6 per cent where ok with Botox.  We do not have figures for tummy tucks or gastric bands.

52 per cent of those surveyed said they would tell family about surgery.

Leeza Gibbons is a television show host staple for years. She has great skin which she says is due to makeup but it could be due to some plastic surgery.

She is 52-years oldand has never admitted to having plastic surgery. When asked about it she said, “I’m claustrophobic, and if they [doctors] told me they could do this [surgery], my big fear is, ‘Oh, my gosh, what if I would have to get my eyes done and I’d have to have patches over my eyes?’ I can’t get facials because I can’t — I’m so claustrophobic. If I get to the point where things are really, you know, fried, died, lay to the side and sagging, I’ll go get therapy for the claustrophobia.”

It looks like she may have had a face lift or some botox.  What do you think?

Leslie Caron is famous from her role in films such as An American in Paris and Gigi.  She is now 78-years old and with some thanks to plastic surgeryshe has managed to stay young.

During a recent interview she said that she had had “a facelift or two.”  As well as having a facelift she could also use some injectables, like Botox to take care of some of the creases around her eyes.  Maybe she will have more surgery in the future.  What do you think?

Paul McCartney sadly lost his life Linda McCartney and since then Paul had been dating women a lot younger than him.  He is 67 years old and is now engaged to 48-year old Nancy Shevell.  As he is dating women a lot younger than him will he need to have some more plastic surgery.  Paul has had eye surgery in the past but now may need some more facial work such as a face lift or some botox.  What do you think?
