Nose Surgery Makes You Look Younger. Tummy Tuck, Gastric Band Too?
New research suggests that people who have a nose job end up looking younger.
Volunteers where asked to study pre-operative photographs, and then post-operative photographs of nose surgery subjects. The study found those who had nose surgery looked on average 1.5 years younger. Dr Ali Sepehr wrote in The Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, “To our knowledge, this is the first study to demonstrate a statistically significant decrease in apparent age after rhinoplasty. This finding of apparent age reduction] can pleasantly surprise patients presenting for rhinoplasty.”
The research did not cover other plastic surgery such as liposuction, tummy tuck, or weight loss surgery like gastric band.

How large was this study? A difference of 1.5 could just be natural variation.
Makes sense.
I think people equate good looking with young. This is why, subconsciously perhaps) they have rated the post op people as younger.
