The majority of people travelling abroad for surgery fall into the 45 – 60 age group, according to recent figures.
The number of people travelling abroad in search of cheaper cosmetic surgery such as breast enlargement, liposuction and tummy tuck, as well as dental and weight loss surgery like gastric band is increasing. People under 30 years of age make up 19% of medical tourists, while those aged between 30 and 45 make up 31%. People over 60 account for just 15%
