It has been revealed that cosmetic surgery is on the rise amongst gay men in the United States is on the rise despite the recession, with some procedures becoming more popular with male patients than women.
The most popular cosmetic surgery procedures include Botox and liposuction, with figures released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) showing liposuction is becoming especially popular among gay men.
Figures for tummy tucks and gastric bands are not thought to be effected by sexual orientation. In the UK, the increasing trend for men seeking Botox is thought to be related remaining competitive in the workplace, inspired by celebrities such as Simon Cowell and Gordon Ramsay.

Gay men have traditionally always looked after their appearance, it makes sense that they would be more likely to embrace plastic surgery.
This does not surprise me.
I dont think people who take take care of themselves and their appearance are nescessarily the same people who opt for surgery. It is seen by some as an easy option, an alternative to taking care of yourself.
