Gastric Band Surgery Sought By Thin People, Plastic Surgery Sought By Young.

Increasing numbers of people who are not overweight are seeking gastric band weight loss surgery.

The procedure, which has become extremely popular among those struggling to lose excess weight, is also being sought out by those who are not overweight.  UK clinics are turning people away every day who have a healthy BMI but still want to have a gastric band fitted.  Women as small as size 8 are reported to be considering having a gastric band fitted in order to stop themselves gaining weight or even to drop to even smaller sizes.

This comes at a time when huge numbers of young women and girls are choosing to have plastic surgery such as liposuction and tummy tuck in order to look more youthful or prevent ageing.
