A UK surgeon has had a gastric band operation to save him from being morbidly obese. The surgeon who work in Edinburgh was morbidly obese and was finding it hard just to walk up a flight of stairs and weighed 2 stone. Now thanks to having a gastric band operation he has been able to eat less and exercise and has lost over 10 stone. He even managed to cycle over 1000 in a year from Lands End to John O Groats.
