Ann Diamond, the tv presenter is another high profile celebrity who had a gastric band fitted.
She probably had gone through a very similar journey like many other people with serious weight problem, dieting, prescription tablets from their GPs, etc and eventually decided that they would have the gastric band fitted to have the long term solution.
Her gastric band was fitted in 2006, it seems that it has helped her to regain her slim figure and she looks fit and well.
