Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery is a common procedure especially as amongst older people as aging causes excess skin above and below the eyes that can affect not only the aesthetic of the eye but also the sight.
Eye surgery is a simple and effective surgery as all the surgeons need to do is take away the excess skin and can be performed under a local anaesthetic.
The healing period after eye surgery depends on the patient but normally doesn’t take too long.  We recommend that after the surgery you wear sunglasses for a week as your eyes will be sensitive after the surgery and you want to protect them from sunlight.  After this period the eyes may still appear bruised but the bruising will disappear after a few more weeks.
