Cosmetic Surgery Woman Jailed For Breast Implants Fraud

An American woman has earned 180 days in jail and 3 years probation after stealing another woman’s identity in order to pay for plastic surgery.

Yvonne Pampellonne pleaded guilty to identity theft, grand theft auto and burglary after using fraudulent means to have her breast implants replaced and have liposuction.  The staff at the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery in Huntington Beach became suspicious after Pampellonne did not turn up for post-op appointments.  Police tracked her down by the serial numbers on her old implants, and after they released her picture to the media she handed herself in at a police station.

Would you consider breaking the law in order to have plastic surgery such as breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck or gastric band?

Gastric Band, Mum Spends Daughter’s School Fees On Plastic Surgery

Until recently, 16 year old Rachel Namita attended exclusive public school Roedean.  In the current economic climate, it is not unusual for parents to withdraw their children from such schools for financial reasons, but Rachel’s case is slightly unusual; Rachel’s mother has spent her school fees on plastic surgery.

Nileen Namita has spent a total of £200,000 on 53 cosmetic surgery procedures on her face in order to look like the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, ‘Being Nefertiti is my destiny,’ she declares. ‘I don’t want to spend my money on a big house. For me, my body is my investment. Suffering is part of being Nefertiti. She suffered, too, under the pressures of being queen.

Nileen plans to have more surgery.  What will be next?  More facial surgery? Liposuction, tummy tuck or breast augmentation?

Breast Enlargement, Cosmetic Surgery for Kick-Ass Writer

Jane Goldman, screenwriter of new film Kick-Ass, presented large breast implants at the premier of the Brad Pitt directed film last week.

The 39-year old wife of Jonathon Ross may have had the implants to help further her former career as a lingerie model.  It is not known if she has had any other plastic surgery such as a tummy tuck, gastric band, liposuction or face lift but it unlikely.  Her fresh faced appearance has led some in the media to suggest that she may have laser treatment, botox or a chemical peel.

Gastric Band, Confusion Over Figures For Plastic Surgery

Gastric Band, Confusion Over Figures For Plastic Surgery

There have been many reports about the continued rise in popularity of cosmetic surgery.  There have also been reports about the recent reduction in the number of plastic surgery procedures, so what is really happening?

Different surveys have reported a huge difference in the number of cosmetic procedures performed range from a reduction by 2% to an increase by 47%, tummy tucks range from -1% to +13% and face lifts may have gone up by 44% or down by 29%

The problem could be the nature of the surveys; they are all limited.  The surveys tend concentrate on certain groups of surgeons, either from a certain country or belonging to a particular body or having a certain qualifications.  The studies each use different classifications for surgery, some omit different surgeries and do or do not include non-invasive procedures such as injections or bariatric surgery such as gastric band.
