Cosmetic Surgery, Gastric Band – Three people lose 416 pounds after gastric bands
Three friends have lost 416 pounds between them after each having a gastric band fitted to help lose weight. Ron Martin, Sara Trombley and Peggy Haun were friends and all decided to have the operation. Ron Martin who has lost 167 pounds said, “My quality of life was in the gutter. I was on numerous medications for many other co-morbidities, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, SLE Lupus and anxiety. I had tried virtually every diet plan there is out there, and I felt like a yo-yo. I’d lose weight only to have it come back, and each time it was with a vengeance. I knew if I was ever to have a good quality of life I had to lose weight. This was my last resort.”
Sara Trombley said, “The difference between how I felt before my surgery and how I feel now is night and day. I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been.”
Now they’ve lost all this weight they might need a tummy tuck and liposuction to get rid of the excess skin.
