Liposuction Cosmetic Surgery Up 65% Tummy Tuck & Gastric Band

Liposuction has increased in popularity by 65% over the past 10 years.

The reasons for the increase in liposuction are varied.  Plastic surgery in general has seen an increase, as it has become increasingly socially acceptable and prices have decreased.  Rising obesity levels have also had an impact, increasing opportunities for fat removal solutions, as well as demand for post weight loss ‘body contouring’ plastic surgery, often sought after weight loss surgery such as gastric band.

Liposuction is also used in conjunction with a variety of other cosmetic surgery including tummy tuck and male chest reduction.
