Anne Diamond Suggests Dawn French Weight Loss Is Due To Gastric Band?

In an open letter to Dawn French, published in the Daily Mail, Anne Diamond has suggested that the comedienne’s recent weight loss could be due to gastric band surgery.

Anne lost considerable weight some time ago by having a gastric band fitted, but initially kept the procedure secret.  In her letter, Anne suggests Dawn may also have had a gastric band fitted by saying, “We are all so insanely hungry for an answer to the obesity problem that your very public success will inevitably turn your pound-shedding into public fodder.  The fact you’ve made it look so easy is enticing, too.  Being secretive about it may be more than we can take.”

Much like any change in appearance tend to garner accusations of liposuction, breast enlargement, face lift or tummy tuck, weight loss now tends to attract rumours of gastric band surgery.  Dawn has vigorously denied that her weight loss is due to gastric band surgery, but instead a result of dieting and exercise.
