50% of Middle Aged Seek Face Lift, Cosmetic Surgery For Job Reasons?

A plastic surgery clinic in the US claims that more than half of middle aged people seeking cosmetic surgery do so in order to benefit their career.

In the currently competitive jobs market, it has been claimed that increasing numbers of people are seeking plastic surgery in order to benefit their career, especially older people wishing to appear youthful and competitive.  Facial surgeries such as face lift, nose, ear and eye procedures are thought to be especially popular among this demographic.

Body surgeries such as tummy tuck and liposuction are also seeing an increase, however, thought to be bolstered by greater obesity rates, and uptake of weight loss procedures such as gastric band surgery.
