Many people seek liposuction, breast enlargement, tummy tuck and other cosmetic surgery in order to look younger or slimmer, we have reported on people who have had surgery to look like a famous celebrity, and even one man who had surgery to look like superman, but three girls from China are reported to have had plastic surgery in order to look the same as each other.

The names of the women are unknown, as is the veracity of the story.

Actress, lawyer and celebrity Star Jones has admitted that she had weight loss surgery in order to tackle her ‘morbid obesity’.

Like gastric band slimmer Fern Britton, Star received some hostility for keeping her weight loss surgery secret, but has defended her decision in a recent interview.  Star admitted that, “Because I was so public with all other aspects of my life I think the audience felt betrayed in some way.”  She described her reasons not to go public, saying,  “I’m not sure I thought I would be successful at it, to be honest with you,” she said, “I thought I’d gain the weight back. I had never been successful at losing weight before. I needed to forgive myself for being such a smart girl and so stupid when it came to something like my health.”

Star has not revealed any plans to undergo post weight loss cosmetic surgery such as liposuction or a tummy tuck.

Over three quarters of over 65’s in the USA want some form of plastic surgery, a new study suggests.

Over 65’s make up a relatively small percentage of the overall number of breast enlargement, liposuction, facelift and tummy tuck procedures, although the number of ‘seniors’ seeking plastic surgery is rising.

Older people are decribed as being good cosmetic surgery patients, “They adhere very well to post-operative guidelines and are typically the most satisfied with the results,”

Actress Octavia Spencer, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for her role in film ‘The Help’ is rewarding herself with cosmetic surgery.

Octavia has revealed plans to undergo a breast uplift in order to return them to the condition they where in when she was 17.  A breast uplift is normally performed in conjunction with breast enlargement or breast reduction.  Breast reduction is reported to be the most satisfying plastic surgery procedure, outranking other cosmetic surgery including liposuction and tummy tuck.  Breast uplift is often sought after weight loss, either after pregnancy or weight loss surgery such as gastric band surgery.

Actress Tina Malone has successfully lost over 10 stone after having a gastric band fitted.

The ‘Shameless’ star was a size 26 before undergoing weight loss surgery, but as she says, “I was so obese – I was simply killing myself. In the end, the surgery has meant I didn’t keel over and die – it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Tina is planning to undergo cosmetic surgery now that she has lost her excess weight, ‘I’m going to have a tummy tuck, my boobs lifted and implants put in” as well as “the extra flab removed from under my arms too. I’m having surgery because I’ve messed up my body for the last 20 years and now I have to clear up that mess.’
