Politician Offers Breast Enlargement Plastic Surgery Prize In Bid To Raise Funds

A Venezuelan politician is offering breast enlargement surgery as a prize in a raffle as part of a fund raising drive.

Plastic surgery is extremely popular in Venezuela, which may or may not be related to the record the country has for the most miss universes.  Despite the impact the recession has had on the Venezuelan economy, liposuction, breast enlargement, tummy tuck and gastric band procedures are becoming increasingly popular, as people opt for loans to cover their cosmetic surgery costs.

Gustavo Rojas, a candidate for a National Assembly position told reporters “Some people raffle TVs and we decided to offer this. It’s an interesting prize and there’s a lot of interest,” and indeed the fact that we are reporting the story shows the potential impact the stunt has had on his publicity.
