Married Parent’s Children Less Likely to Need Gastric Band, Tummy Tuck, Liposuction

Children of married parents and single dads are less likely to be obese, according to a new report.

The decade long study suggests that the rate of obesity in children raised by two married parents is 17%, while obesity among children of unmarried parents stands at 31%. Children raised by a single father are the least likely to be obese, according to the study.

Obesity is one of the fastest growing reasons for seeking cosmetic surgery such as liposuction, tummy tuck and breast reduction.
